Our Staff

Dr. Sara Thornton leads an experienced staff of pet health care providers devoted to the most progressive, compassionate care available for your dog or cat.  It is our goal to treat your pets as if they are part of our family.   Schuylkill Veterinary Hospital offers full service veterinary care for pets, including vaccinations, surgery, medical and dental care.  we serve as a local referral facility for veterinary specialists in cardiology and surgery.  Our concern is quality care for your pet--extending throughout its life--from birth to excellent geriatric management.

Vickie and Rusty   Vickie Stiely, employed at Schuylkill Veterinary Hospital for 6 years,  is a native of New Columbia, PA. The daughter of Robert C. Whitesel  and Donna F. Sampsell, Vickie graduated from Milton High School and  joined the Army where she was trained as an operating room technician.  After leaving the Army, she attended Penn State University and received  a BS in Animal Bioscience.   Vickie currently lives in Sacramento with her husband Chris, sons,  John and Ben, and Saint Bernard, Rusty.
